First of all...AWESOME ICONS!!!!
but, when i saw you had xmas icons i got excited thinking maybe some would be.... i dunno... REALTED TO CHRISTmas! i know what ur thinking... what are YOU smOKING? Theyve got xmas written all over them... but really have ppl forgotten what CHRISTmas about, already? Everyone is so wrapped up in presents n snow n kisses n fat guys in red suits with white beards, that ppl are forgetting...it isnt Xmas...its CHRISTmas... n its not about some fat gut in a red suit, its about a birthdy, the most important birthday of all...Jesus's birthday... Jesus saves, n Christians celebrate Christmas b/c its the day Jesus was born, the day God came to the Earth, so he could Die on the cross, so I could go to Heaven, so YOU can go to Heaven... so everyone that believes in HIM will go to Heaven! Ok now that you get my point... Merry CHRISTmas...

I do know your point however I am agnostic and therefore felt it a bit hypocritical of me to post Christmas icons pertaining to christ. If one was to request a icon to that extint then as an icon maker I would do so. I do apologize for your disappointment. However I won't have religious discussions on my icon journal thats just silly. If you want an icon pertaining to christ with a Merry christmas theme to it then I have no problems with that. Since you felt the need to give me a lecuter about christmas then I do hope that many other icon makers have gottne the same speech as well. Oh and just to let you know I was born and raised a Catholic so I don't need to be taught.

I'm Pagan and personally celebrate Yule, but I spend Christmas with my family who are still Christian and therefore recognise the holiday. And while it is their holiday, I treasure the time we spend together as a family. I appreciate that the icons aren't all Christ based.

Thank you very much. Someone who actually understands why I did what I did :). My family is Christian/Catholic as well and out of respect for them I do still celebrate the holiday with them. However found that if I made my the xmas icons full of christ I would be a hypocrit in my eyes more than anyone elses.

A) Santa Claus = SAINT Nicholas. Ergo: Christian. (Technically, but we won't get into that here because your pointy inbred little head would explode.)

B) Jesus (if he existed) was born in the spring -- that's when shepherds would be watchng their flocks in the fields (lambing time). Ergo: what you call Christmas is a completely non-Jesus-related pagan holiday that was usurped by the Church in order to make people forget about said pagan holiday in favor of their new pretend god. ALL of your precious customs associated with it are also pagan in origin.

Ladys it's really entertaining to read all this but umm can we stop the whole who knows more about the christian faith. I understand how this can get all heated and all but honestly I do not care. I was raised catholic I know the ins and outs and I turned my back on it for NOTHING. You wish to duel it out then do it in each others journals. This is a silly icon journal.
